Sidio Corradi has died, Genoa mourns for one of its legends

The world of Italian soccer and Genoa in particular are mourning the death of Sidio Corradi, who passed away on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the age of 80.

Ex-winger who thanks to one appearance collected in the 1963-1964 season became champion of Italy with Bologna, during his career he wore the jerseys of Vicenza, Cesena and Varese, among others.

From 1970 to 1976, hitting a historic double promotion from Serie C to Serie A, however, he wore mainly the jersey of Genoa, a club for which he worked even after his retirement.

Just a little more than a year ago, in April 2024, the Ligurian club had honored him by awarding him a commemorative jersey at the Ferraris center.
