Historic qualification to the single group stage of the Champions League for Qarabağ, an Azerbaijani team from Baku that already in 2017-2018 had advanced to the group stage. Today despite losing 3-2 at home to Hungary&#8217s Ferencvaros they snatched the pass thanks to a 3-1 away win in the first leg of the last preliminary round, the so-called playoff.

Benfica, Bruges and Copenhagen also qualify, all with home successes. The Portuguese win 1-0 with Turkey’s Fenerbahce after a 0-0 first-leg tie, and the Danes fold 2-0 at Swiss side Basel after a 1-1 draw in the first round.

Finally, the Belgians literally overwhelmed Rangers Glasgow 6-0. The Scots, who had already conceded a goal and lost 3-1 at home in the first leg, played from the 8th minute in ten men due to the expulsion of Aarons, and the Walloons, after scoring the sixth goal in the 50th minute, did not further inflict any further damage.
