Carlos Alcaraz spoke at a press conference after also beating Arthur Rinderknech decisively: “A lot of people have said that I am not as consistent as I should be. But at the same time, these statistics are really good to see for me, because they show me that I am getting great results in the most important tournaments. Sometimes it is not enough for me to reach the quarters or semifinals, I am hard on myself, but actually these are important results”.

Inevitable questions about Jannik Sinner: “What makes our rivalry special are the matches. We are playing each other for number 1, we have played two Slam finals, and we compete for all the major titles. We are building something similar to what the Big Three did, who fought for the same things for so many years”.

Jannik Sinner and Aleksander Bublik will face each other in the round of 16 at the U.S. Open in a challenge that may prove even less obvious than expected for the South Tyrolean outfielder. On the path to the quarters, where one between Jaume Munar and compatriot Lorenzo Musetti would await him, there’s in fact an opponent who is no stranger to giving him unexpected trips.

The two will face off against each other in the quarterfinals.

The two will meet at Flushing Meadows’Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing Meadows, the traditional home of the US Open, late in the Italian evening on Monday, September 1. In fact, very late: to be precise, in our country it will have already clicked off on Tuesday, Sept. 2, as the match between Sinner and Bublik will not begin until 1 a.m.

The two will be playing at the US Open in Flushing Meadows.
