Serie A, fines for five clubs after second day

The dispositions of the Sporting Judge of Serie A, Gerardo Mastrandrea, were published on Tuesday, following the analysis of the reports of the matches valid for the second day of the Italian top league. There are no disqualified players, the’only stop concerns Giovanni Saffioti, Cremonese athletic trainer, who was detained for a turn “for having, at the 39th of the second half, standing up from the additional bench, contested a refereeing decision”.

Sports Justice, on the other hand, imposed fines worth a total of 20,500 euros on five clubs, three of them for fan intemperance and two for delaying kickoff without proper justification. Below are the penalties assigned and the reasons for each measure, announced by Lega Serie A.

Fine of € 10,000.00: to Soc. GENOA for having its supporters, at the 22nd of the first half, throw into the playing area a half-full plastic glass whose liquid hit an Assistant; for having also, at the 27th of the second half, thrown a small bottle on the playing area; penalty mitigated ex art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS.

Fine of € 4,000.00: to Soc. COMO as objective responsibility, for having unjustifiably delayed the start of the second half by about three minutes.
Fine of € 4,000.00: to Soc. MILAN as objective responsibility, for having unjustifiably delayed the start of the first half by about three minutes.

Fine of € 1,500.00: to Soc. LECCE for having its supporters, at the 1st of the first half, throw a smoke bomb in the playing area; penalty mitigated ex art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS.
Fine of € 1,000.00: to Soc. LAZIO for having its supporters, at the 25th of the second half, throw a plastic bottle into the playing area; penalty mitigated ex art. 29, paragraph 1 lett. b) CGS.
