This was announced by the Consortium itself on Tuesday.

“Wearing the captain’s armband is an honor and a great responsibility that I immediately accepted with enthusiasm – explained the neo world champion with the national team, without hiding her enthusiasm – I can not wait to join my teammates to start this new season. We have a long road ahead of us, I am sure that together and with the right determination we will achieve great goals”.

“Paola accepted the proposal to be the captain of our team with the right enthusiasm and awareness of the role that will be a new opportunity of growth for her and for us– added Alessandra Marzari, president of the club – I am happy with this choice and I think it is natural that such a talented and experienced player will take on this important challenge”.

A class of 1998, in Milan since the 2023-2024 season, Paola Egonu has just returned from an extraordinary summer with the national team, having won both the Volleyball Nations League and the World Cup, helping to bring the rainbow laurel back to the Bel Paese for the first time since 2002. What she is about to experience at Vero Volleyball will be her first career experience as a captain.
