European Championships, Germany stops Luka Dončić and Slovenia and goes to semifinals

Germany beat Luka Dončić’s Slovenia 99-91 in the last quarterfinal of the European Basketball Championships, thus advancing to the semifinals, where it will face Finland, winner over Georgia.
The Los Angeles Lakers star scored 39 points but, burdened early with fouls – also accomplice to a ‘technical’ inflicted on him early in the game -, he failed to make a difference against the reigning world champions.
In Riga, the Germans, after being down in the score for a long time, managed to get back into the game at the beginning of the last quarter and in the final quarter made the decisive overtaking.
Nearly five men scored in double figures for Germany, with Orlando Magic wing Franz Wagner the top scorer with 23 points, followed by Dennis Schröder of the Detroit Pistons with 20.
