Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) sprinted to victory in the nineteenth stage of the Vuelta, the 161.9-kilometer Rueda-Guijuelo, which follows the two fractions won by Italians Giulio Pellizzari and Filippo Ganna.

The Belgian took his third success in this edition, ahead of Mads Pedersen and Orluis Aular. Jonas Vingegaard (Visma Lease a bike) always remains in the red jersey.

Today he gained four seconds bonus in a flying finish, bringing his lead over Portugal’s Joao Almeida to 44 seconds.

Tomorrow there is a tough mountain stage, finishing atop the Bola del Mundo, a 12.4-kilometer climb with an average gradient of 8.6 percent.
