These are the words of Parma’s very young Spanish coach Carlos Cuesta after the 2-0 loss to Cagliari in the first match of the third day of Serie A.

“We also did well – he said at the end of his Parma’s match lost to Cagliari – we created good chances in the first half with a lot of pressing.

“Even in the second half there were opportunities. But to score goals you have to materialize. And we will work harder to make this additional step”.

“I am convinced that by working in this direction we will achieve this goal. What I like about my players is that they always try, ready to go to the maximum”.

Cuesta, 30, comes from Arsenal, where he was assistant coach to Mikel Arteta for five years. Previously, he was also deputy in the Juventus Under-17 team.
