Olimpia Milano: all present for the challenge with Virtus Bologna in the Supercoppa

The time for friendlies is over. Saturday the Italian basketball Supercup, the first trophy of the 2025/26 season, begins. Olimpia Milano is expected to play a big match with Virtus Bologna (Saturday, 2:45 p.m. ball). The goal of the renewed AX is to get off to the best possible start, possibly by raising the trophy.

Coach Messina’s team is fresh from the Crete trophy where two losses came against, respectively, Olympiacos and Fenerbahce. However, the red-and-whites offered more than decent performances, even net of the heavy absences of Guduric, Shields and Cancar (against the reigning Champions of Europe).

Unfortunately, nothing of concern on the injury front. Guduric and Cancar are already resolving their physical issues and are expected to take the court on Wednesday in the test organized against Vanoli Cremona, the last game before the Final Four of the Italian Supercoppa, scheduled at the Assago Forum.

The team is expected to play in the test against Vanoli Cremona.

Having a full roster is crucial for coach Messina who, in recent seasons, has had to deal with an always crowded infirmary. Given the many commitments that await the red and white club (in fact, accomplice to the’Euroleague, it will often play every two/three days), having all players available is an essential asset to aim for a successful season.
