Cesc Fabregas more than a coach feels like an educator

Cesc Fabregas spoke to Mediaset microphones after Como’s trio at Sassuolo: “We have to make our way, it is the second year in Serie A after many years and many difficulties. We are trying to grow, I have a very clear idea: we are a solid club, this for me is fundamental”.
“Will young people occasionally be able to make mistakes? There’s a little bit of everything. Certainly they will make mistakes and I am very aware of that, but they will also do great things. They have a tremendous hunger and that is a great thing. We often talk about how much Como has spent and not how much they have invested, we have to value the young people we have taken. I feel like an educator before I feel like a coach: it’s not just the soccer that matters, but what they do outside and I feel very responsible for that. We all have to be together and think the same thing”.
“Why is there’s difficulty in finding Italian players? It is not that we have not found Italian talent, I meant that there is but what we want to do today and in the future leads to taking very young players and making them our own with the structure we want to create here. We cannot take players just to take them, we are making strides Primavera and Under-17 and we also want to educate this Italian youth within a few years in our academy”.
