Champions League Women 2025-2026: Real Madrid-Roma, the likely lineups

The adventure in the women’s Champions League begins from the Madrid stadium dedicated to the memory of Alfredo Di Stefano for Roma, in its fourth consecutive participation in Europe’s top competition. The Giallorossi’s goal, engaged at 6:45 p.m. against Real in the first day, is to go as far as possible and perhaps improve on their best ever result, reaching the quarterfinals in 2023.
The Merengues, after a not easy start in the league, have picked up pace and have not lost a game since last Sept. 5 (2-1 against Atletico in the derby). The last match played, also in the women’s La Liga on Friday 4 with Badalona, ended 3-0 with goals from Caicedo, Feller and Del Castillo. The first two will in all likelihood be in the starting eleven against Roma, the third could take over in the second half.
As for the Giallorossi, their league journey began last Friday with a clear 4-0 win against Parma, with goals from Corelli, Babajide, Giugliano and Dragoni. Coach Luca Rossettini will focus on a lineup with a thick midfield, with Bergamaschi and Haavi on the flanks, Pilgrim an offensive reference and Giugliano and Corelli ready to help out from three-quarters up. In the three-man defense ready Di Guglielmo, Valdezate and Veje.
