Roma is completely blunt in attack. In recent outings, including the Europa League match with Viktoria Plzen, the Giallorossi’s offensive department has certainly not impressed. In particular, in obvious difficulty Artem Dovbyk.

The 28-year-old Ukrainian striker, in his second year at Roma (last season he scored 17 goals), is struggling mightily, to such an extent that, many are convinced, he may pack his bags in January. Giam Piero Gasperini is trying everything to shake him from his torpor but the results, at the moment, are poor: only one goal since the beginning of the season.

The’former Girona striker has several admirers in Italy and around Europe and it cannot be ruled out that in January Roma may manage to place him elsewhere. Should Artem Dovbyk pack his bags, here is where the Giallorossi club would go on the hunt for another center forward who can lend a tangible hand to the offensive department.

The most popular name remains that of Joshua Zirkzee. The 24-year-old striker, formerly of Bologna, is struggling in his Manchester United adventure. Last year, only seven goals scored and, even at this early stage of the season, little satisfaction for the Dutchman. Developments are expected in the coming weeks. Roma needs a goal-scoring center forward and they need one as soon as possible.
