After an hour and a half of play, Egonu and her teammates managed to impose themselves in three sets, at the end of a match that saw the orange women give battle to the meneghine. In the first two partials, in fact, the hosts were always forced to chase and – in the decisive moments of the set – they maintained the right concentration that allowed them to take a 2-0 lead, and then close without difficulty. MVP of the challenge was Serbia’s Hena Kurtagic, the author of an excellent performance: the young central scored 10 points (3 walls) and recorded an efficiency of 87% in attack, proving decisive in the third set. Also in double figures were Captain Egonu (19 points for her, top scorer of the match) and Khalia Lanier (10 points), a symptom of Bosio’s good distribution.
Benedetta Sartori’s performance was also positive, this evening deployed as a starter. At the end of the challenge, celebration time for Milan, which, in front of the friendly audience, celebrated the Fineco Supercup victory.
For Numia Vero Volley it is now time for the next engagement: on Thursday, October 30 – 8 p.m. – Coach Lavarini’s girls will tread the Pala Barton Energy taraflex for the challenge to the hosts of Bartoccini-Mc Restauri Perugia.
