Cagliari, Fabio Pisacane sees the glass as half full

Despite the 2-0 defeat at home to Lazio and a lackluster roster in recent outings (just two points obtained in the last six days) Fabio Pisacane does not feel like throwing away the performance, which in the post-match press conference he called positive beyond the score at the triple whistle.

“Everything is compensated in soccer, in other matches we have taken away points by playing not as well as tonight – said the coach of the Rossoblù -. I do not feel like saying that we should have scored points, but I think this performance was positive and will help us for the future. We came within a step of finalizing, we were a little bit’inaccurate but I would be worried if we didn&#8217t get right in the attacking zone”.

“We have lost the last two games but I would say that individual episodes were decisive – added Pisacane -. Today the first goal was the result of an individual play, the second came from a mistake of ours, for which, however, I do not feel like condemning Prati. To have a different solidity in the next matches there’s only one thing to do, continue to work hard”.

After the Sept. 19 league success at home to Lecce (2-1) and the one a few days later against Frosinone in the Coppa Italia (4-1), Cagliari has not won since: from Sept. 27 onward came defeats against Inter (0-2), Bologna (0-2), Sassuolo (1-2) and Lazio, interspersed with 1-1 draws against Udinese and 2-2 with Hellas Verona.
