Genoa market, Daniele De Rossi getting closer: details

After Patrick Vieira’s exoneration, Genoa has decided to bet on Daniele De Rossi as its new coach. According to Sky Sport reports, the former Roma player and coach will reach the Ligurian capital as early as Wednesday.

The final details are being filed in these hours to find the final agreement also from the economic point of view: De Rossi is expected to sign a €800,000 contract until the end of the season with automatic renewal until 2027 in case of salvation of the Grifone.

On Thursday, he is expected to lead the team’s first training session at the Signorini sports center in Pegli, ahead of the delicate challenge with Fiorentina, still on the hunt for a coach after the exoneration of Stefano Pioli, scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Ferraris.

The official debut on the Rossoblù bench, however, will not take place with the Viola: in fact, De Rossi still has to serve a day of disqualification he picked up in his last adventure in the Giallorossi. The Roman coach will observe the match from the stands: to sit on the bench he will have to wait for the away match with Cagliari, scheduled after the national team break.
