Cagliari, which has not started its Serie A championship as it would have wished, is aiming to achieve salvation also thanks to the saves of Elia Caprile and, at least until the summer, does not intend to sell the goalkeeper born in Verona but of Neapolitan origin.

The Sardinian club bought the talented extreme defender from Naples for 8 million euros, a major investment. With a series of excellent performances, Caprile has proven to be worth much more, attracting the’interest of several top clubs. Among them, Inter seems to be in pole position.

The Nerazzurri, who could part ways with Yann Sommer at the end of the season (although the Swiss could stay on as second goalkeeper), are reportedly ready to offer 35 million euros for the 2001 class.

There could be news soon, but Caprile’s path to a big name has already begun. The young goalkeeper, however, first wants to help keep Cagliari in Serie A.
