Carlos Alcaraz shared his feelings at a press conference in Turin after his victory over Alex De Minaur in his ATP Finals debut. The Murcia tennis player got off to a good start in a tournament where he has always struggled in the past: “It was about understanding what I needed, especially off the court, to have motivation during the indoor part of the season. The year can be very long, with many matches and tournaments”.

“And this is a tournament where I want to do well, and win. So because of that I come in motivated and at a very good level of form. I’m really proud of how I handled everything to get to the end of the year like this”.

On the forfeit of Novak Djokovic and the&#8217 arrival of Lorenzo Musetti he is clear: “Obviously, having someone like Novak in the group is always tough and to be honest I prefer to face Lorenzo…I won&#8217t lie. Let’s see how he will adapt. He comes from Athens and he hasn”t been able to get used to the field very much.
