Achille Polonara returns home and makes a touching appeal

After ten days spent between life and death Achille Polonara finally returned home and was able to re-embrace his children and wife.
A return full of emotion, celebrated with a special Sunday lunch prepared by chef Bruno Barbieri, who prepared tortellini and lasagna for the whole family, and which was documented by the Mediaset program ‘Le Iene’.
The basketball champion. suffering from leukemia and recently undergoing a bone marrow transplant, smiled often, once again showing all his courage, and also made a very touching appeal. “It is a beautiful Sunday – he said -. Join ADMO (Bone Marrow Donor Association), it costs nothing and you can save a life”.
Filled with humanity Barbieri’s words. “Cancer is scary and many people turn away – he stressed while talking to Achilles -. I think it is important to make people understand that there’s a suffering but there’s also a light. Everything will come back better than before, live life and when you return to the field I”ll be there too.
