A surprise visit that rekindled the enthusiasm of Blaugrana fans. Barça legend Lionel Messi materialized at Camp Nou. A surprise that sparked many indiscretions. Many blaugrana fans are dreaming of a homecoming for the Pulce, after his sad farewell in 2021.

In fact, just a few weeks ago, Inter Miami made official the Argentine’s contract renewal with the club in the MLS until December 2028. Being a 1987 class, it is more than likely that Inter Miami will be his last club team.

Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, clearly responded to those who speculate however a possible return of the Pulce to Barcelona: “With the utmost respect for Messi and the club professionals, I would not make unrealistic assumptions. It is not appropriate”, his words to Catalunya Ràdio.

The Blaugrana number one also returned to talk about the’farewell of Leo Messi to Barcelona in 2021: “I don&#8217t regret it. Barcelona comes first. It was not meant to go on together”, his closing remark. In short, despite the resounding affection for him, Lionel Messi is no longer destined to play in the blaugrana jersey. Maybe it will happen in his farewell match, which, fortunately, is still a long way off in time.
