Parma Calcio remembers Calisto Tanzi: adulation and insults arrive

Parma Calcio remembered Calisto Tanzi and did so with a post on social media on the day he would have had a birthday: the entrepreneur and sports executive, who passed away on Jan. 1, 2022, was born in Collecchio on Nov. 17, 1938.

With Tanzi as president, the ducal team put several trophies in its trophy cabinet (3 Italian Cups, 1 Italian Super Cup, 1 Cup Winners Cup, 2 UEFA Cups and 1 UEFA Super Cup) and came very close to winning a historic Scudetto.

The comments on the image conveyed by the Emilian club were of all kinds: there were those who praised him (“You are missing like the’air” someone wrote) and those who wanted to recall his problems with justice, in some cases even using insults.
