New twist in the career of Axel Huens

New twist in Axel Huens’ career: he has signed for two seasons with Groupama-FDJ, after two years with the Unibet Tietema Rockets. The 24-year-old Frenchman was on a contract expiration date with the team that will be called Unibet Rose Rockets in 2026.
Huens competed in his first Monument in 2025, the Paris Roubaix, which he finished 27th. He also finished eighth at the Tour de Vendée and 32nd at Paris-Tours in his season. The rider born in Buire Courcelles, in the Somme, will strengthen the sprint sector of Groupama-FDJ and will also have opportunities in the classics.
“I already know Paul Penhoët and several riders with whom I shared experiences in the national team, so I already feel part of the group – he said. “What convinced me is the consistency of the project with my career. I was looking for an environment where I could continue to learn and grow. The more time passes, the more I discover myself a complete rider, capable of expressing myself in different types of races. I want to continue to grow season after season, and I feel that this is the ideal place to do that”.
