Lando Norris is worried about returning to the nightmare track

Lando Norris doesn’t trust the Las Vegas circuit: “Apparently I am no longer allowed to say we are not favored. In the last two years it was, however, definitely the most difficult race because of the track”.

“My expectations are not at the same level as those of Mexico and Brazil, where we achieved very good results. We have improved in races where we have struggled in the past, so I arrive with more confidence than in previous editions, but not with the same confidence as we have had in recent races.”

“Las Vegas is a story apart with the low temperatures and poor grip. I always had a lot of difficulty with the graining front. I felt the worst on the grid in this aspect. Now I have definitely improved. Why? I hate understeer, I hate that the front doesn’t work, that kind of thing, and it’s something that can happen a lot here and has happened before.”

“As long as I can counter these problems, I manage them but I know I have to work at it. Once you start the weekend this way, you can be more confident. If I go out on the track tomorrow in FP1 and FP2 and find grainingat the front, I won’t be very happy when I come back. This is a completely different track from the others. Poor downforce, long straights, difficult braking and difficulty in being consistent, and this is never good for our car.”
