F1: Lewis Hamilton’s drought is over—he waited 686 days

A long-awaited victory. Lewis Hamilton has finally managed to break the spell. In Barcelona, he secured his long-awaited first victory since joining Ferrari.
After a wait of 686 days, Sir Lewis was once again the first to cross the finish line. He hadn’t won since SPA 2024, although, ttechnically, he had won the Belgian Grand Prix three weeks later, but the victory was awarded to him retroactively due to the disqualification of the winner, George Russell.
At the Barcelona GP, however, he did it all on his own, proving that the time has not yet come to think about memories and call it quits with Formula 1. Race number 31 with Ferrari was the one. He got everything right, luck was on his side, and, in the end, he won. A victory that makes him even more of a legend because winning with the Scuderia has a whole different flavor.
He now has a total of 105 F1 victories. No one has won more Grand Prix races than the Brit, who, at this point, has a strong desire to keep enjoying himself with a Ferrari that finally showcases his talent. At the moment, he is also 41 points behind World Championship leader Kimi Antonelli, but from this perspective, it’s best to stay calm for now.
