Charles Leclerc spoke to the media present on the eve of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The Monegasque started from recent statements by John Elkann who had attacked Ferrari drivers: “They need to focus on driving and talk less. There are still a few races left and it is not impossible to aim for second place in the constructors” world championship.

“I have known John for many years, we talk regularly, we have a very good relationship and of course I talked to him after those statements– said Leclerc -We talked like after every GP and he explained to me that the intention of that interview and the message he wanted to send was definitely positive”.

“John is very ambitious, as we all are, we have the same priorities, let&#8217s give our best to bring Ferrari back to the top. The best I can do is to continue to do my best to bring the team I adore back to the top of the charts“.

The American GP has an important new feature this year: all sessions have been brought forward by two hours compared to previous editions. The decision, made by the FIA and Formula 1, stems from the need to ease drivers and insiders ahead of the long move to the Middle East that will begin immediately after the race and the desire to offer more accessible schedules to the U.S. public. The cars will take to the track on Thursday, November 20, at 4:30 p.m. local time (1:30 a.m. CET on Friday) for the first free practice session, while the second session will be held at 8 p.m. (5 p.m. CET on Friday). The same pattern will be repeated the following day with Free Practice 3 at 4:30 p.m. (1:30 a.m. CET on Saturday) and qualifying at 8 p.m. (5 p.m. CET on Saturday). The race will be staged on Saturday, November 22 at 8 p.m. (5 CET on Sunday).
