Golden moment for the Pistons. Drawn by the usual Cunningham (24 points and 11 rebounds scored), the Detroit franchise also beat Indiana (122-117 the final), taking home their 13th consecutive victory. The Pistons’ record now stands at 15 wins and only two losses.

An impressive roster that has allowed the current team to equal the consecutive winning streak of the legendary Bad Boys (those of Rodman, Laimbeer, Dumars and Thomas), the legendary 1990 Pistons, as well as that of another magical team, namely the 2004 version (both won the NBA title).

An impressive change of pace, especially when you consider that, just two years ago, Detroit was posting the most consecutive losses in a single NBA season, that is, 28 games lost. An extraordinary turnaround for a franchise that began the 2023/24 season with a 3-36 record and then ended it with only 14 total wins.

“This is incredible. We play for the Detroit Pistons, man. A historic franchise. So to be able to write history for a historic franchise like this is special” Cunningham’s words, reported by ESPN, at the end of the showdown with Indiana.
