Varese basketball strikes a blow: new point guard official

Varese Basketball is struggling in this first slice of the season. To date, it has won only two league games (out of nine). A not-excellent roster that has convinced the management to reinforce its roster. Official the’agreement with Carlos Stewart, a point guard of great potential.
This is the official statement from the club: “Pallacanestro Varese is happy to announce the signing of Carlos Stewart, who will wear the Openjobmetis jersey until the end of the season. Stewart is a very athletic point guard capable of making an impact on both halves of the court. On offense he brings good scoring potential, matured from his years in the NCAA, where he has proven to be a reliable scorer who can also create play for his teammates. Defensively, he is an uncomfortable player due to his long arms, combined with tenacity and aggressiveness, making him a very effective scorer on man”.
On the official website of Varese Basketball, the newcomer’s career is also covered: “Born on May 6, 2003 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Carlos Stewart began his college career at Santa Clara University, where he immediately became a key player so much so that after his second season, closed at 15.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game average, he was selected on the West Coast Conference (WCC) All-Conference First Team, convincing thanks to his excellent shooting percentages (40.3% from three). After a brief stint at Louisiana State University, a season affected by injury, he returned to Santa Clara for his senior year, where he surpassed the 1,000 career point mark. At the beginning of this year he landed in Europe wearing the Hamburg jersey, a team with which he also made his debut in the EuroCup, where he put up 9.5 points per shoelace with a high of 23 in the game against Reyer Venezia played last Nov. 5”.
Carlos Stewart is expected to make his debut in the delicate away game next Dec. 8 on the court of Vanoli Cremona. An important reinforcement for coach Ioannis Kastritis.
