Pesaro, sigh of relief for Kay Felder

VLLLV Pesaro will not have to give up Kay Felder except for a relatively short period of time: in fact, the response of the diagnostic tests the American player underwent has ruled out problems that could have led to a long stop due to injury. As confirmed by the Marche club, which after fifteen days of the A2 Series is leading the standings with 22 points, two more than Libertas Livorno and Verona, Felder will still have to undergo a series of treatments to resolve the left foot problem suffered in the home game against Pistoia played last October 29 and which has flared up in recent days.
“Victoria Libertas Pallacanestro Pesaro announces that player Kay Felder underwent further diagnostic examinations to assess the extent of the problem in his left foot, injured during the game against Pistoia – reads the note released Tuesday night by the red-and-white club. Recent clinical-instrumental examinations and the consultation carried out in Forli on Monday by the well-known specialist Dr. Francesco Lijoi gave negative results, thus excluding injuries or complications. Felder as early as today has begun his recovery course under the orders of Prof. Roberto Venerandi and according to what has been defined by the medical staff led by Dr. Piero Benelli”.
“His condition will be re-evaluated in the coming days to define his return to the team, hoping to have him back available as soon as possible” the club then concludes. Class of 1995, Felder arrived at VL Pesaro last Sept. 7, after various experiences in the NBA (Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit) and G-League (Canton, Windy City, Grand Rapids, Raptors 905) and a long stint in China, which began at the Xinjian Tigers in 2019 and continued, in the following years, at the Shanxi Loongs, Beijing Royal Fighters and Nanjing Monkey Kings, with a very brief adventure last summer at the Criollos de Caguas, in the Puerto Rico league, before accepting the’offer from the Red and White.
