The Ineos Grenadiers made official on Monday the arrival of Jack Haig, who from 2026 will join the British team for which run, among others, the Italian Filippo Ganna and top riders such as Kevin Vaquelin, Thymen Arensman and Egan Bernal. Haig thus leaves Bahrain Victorious after four seasons.
“I am really excited to join Ineos Grenadiers – Haig said at the presentation. “It is a team that I have followed closely since its inception and has achieved great things in its history. To be part of one of the best teams in the world, known for its professionalism and extremely high standards, is something I am very proud of”.
“I look forward to the start of the season, getting to know my new teammates and making my contribution to chasing future successes. I am also looking forward to lending my support to some of the young talents who have joined the team” further explained Haig, who boasts a third place in the Vuelta in his career, in 2021, behind Primoz Roglic and Enric Mas.
“I have raced wheel-to-wheel against Jack for many years and he has always impressed me – said Geraint Thomas, sport director of Ineos. “He is a fighter and a tireless worker, he knows what it takes to get on the podium of a Grand Tour. I am sure he will be important in achieving the goals we have set for ourselves”.
