Jack Haig retires
Bahrain-Victorious rider Jack Haig, meanwhile, has been forced to abandon the Tour de France after he crashed with other riders about 30 kilometers from the finish line.
The Australian, one of the team’s two captains along with Damiano Caruso, was taken to hospital in Valenciennes, and tests also revealed a fractured wrist.
A few stitches were applied above his elbow but fortunately there was no concussion.
