Milan-Como at San Siro (and not Perth), there are two possible dates

Milan-Como will be played at the San Siro on the first available date. This was confirmed by the president of the Lega Serie A, Ezio Simonelli, who spoke to Radio Anch’io Sport on Rai Radio 1, putting a definitive end to the hypothesis of playing the match in Perth. “Milan is out of the Coppa Italia and the match will be scheduled as soon as possible, on one of the Wednesdays when San Siro will be free from Inter&#8220s Champions League commitments, Simonelli explained. This closes the long querelle related to the possible Australian league trip.

However, the date of the rematch remains to be determined. The match was originally scheduled for the weekend of Feb. 7-8, but on Friday, Feb. 6, the Meazza stadium will host the opening ceremony of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games, an event that makes it impossible to organize the match a few days apart. Consequently, Milan-Como will be postponed to a date later than February 8 and necessarily played on a midweek shift, as there are no other weekends available. The most concrete hypothesis leads to Wednesday, February 17, the first useful window for the San Siro.

The only possible obstacle would be a home engagement of Inter in the Champions League playoffs on the same day. In that case, the match would slip by a week, to Wednesday, Feb. 24. A scenario that is currently unlikely, considering that Inter would have to finish the first phase of the competition between 17th and 24th to play the first leg at home, while currently occupying the sixth position. Max Allegri spoke to DAZN microphones in the post-match of Milan-Hellas Verona, a match won 3-0 by the Rossoneri despite the absence of Rafael Leao and thanks to goals from Pulisic and Nkunku (double).

“There are moments in the match that need to be played differently. You need to keep the ball more. We lost several balls that we could have handled better, it is a transition that we definitely need to improve. Nkunku? He is a very sensitive boy, he cared about doing well. Today he got unblocked. He scored a goal that is in his own way”

.

“He can improve like everyone,” added the Rossoneri coach. “However, we were orderly and I had asked for that. After 3-0 we could and should have had better management. Scudetto number? It will be between 82 and 84 points. If we are there? We were thinking about winning because it was important to find ourselves after the draw with Sassuolo. We beat a small one at home and it was important”.
