Atalanta’s roster, as has been the case for several years now, can boast of some very good young prospects who inevitably end up in the sights of Europe’s top clubs. In the past it has been so with the likes of Rasmus Højlund, Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski and Alessandro Bastoni; next summer it could be Honest Ahanor’s turn. The very young defender, who landed in Bergamo last July, has ended up on the radar of Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich: very rich offers will arrive in the summer.

Ahanor, born in 2008, plays with veteran confidence and shows very wide margins for improvement. He grew up in Genoa’s youth ranks and, after last season’s excellent season spent in the Grifone shirt, moved to Bergamo in July for 17 million euros. The valuation of the youngster born in Aversa, Campania, has skyrocketed and Dea will not sit at the negotiating table for offers below 40 million euros, the minimum figure set by the Percassi family to discuss the defender’s sale.

In addition to Honest Ahanor, there&#8217s another Atalanta youngster who is shining: he is Marco Palestra, who is wearing the Cagliari shirt on loan this year and will return to Bergamo at the end of the season. The orobico club decided to send him to Sardinia to allow him to play with continuity and to make him mature definitively, which seems to have already happened if one analyzes the full-back’s latest performances. In a very few weeks, Palestra has settled in very well in Cagliari and the’excellent performance clearly shows it.

The full-back has inevitably attracted the attentions of several clubs and among them there is also Inter: Beppe Marotta has a very good relationship with Atalanta but being able to beat the very strong competition will be very complicated even for a manager as good and experienced as him. Atalanta values him at 35-40 million euros, a figure absolutely out of the Biscione’s budget.

Marco Palestra is not the’only Atalanta player in Inter&#8217s sights: Cristian Chivu would also be delighted to coach Ederson, whose contract expires in June 2027. The Brazilian midfielder&#8217s Bergamo experience seems to have reached the end credits and a farewell seems inevitable: Inter will definitely make an attempt to bring him to Milan.
