Emil Audero missed the bus: goalkeeper forgotten at stadium
Emil Audero will have a hard time forgetting this Sunday of the championship and not only for the mistake that cost his Cremonese team the 1-0 defeat on the field of Sassuolo. In fact, after the usual post-match interviews, the Indonesian-Italian goalkeeper stopped in the mixed zone to talk to two Indonesian journalists who habitually follow him, without shirking a few photos. Meanwhile, however, Cremonese’s bus left without him, leaving him at the stadium.
Only thanks to the willingness of Sassuolo, which provided him with a car, Audero was finally able to return home, ending a day truly to forget. The 12:30 p.m. match was decided by a goal from Fadera, allowing the neroverdi to move up to 11th place on 26 points. On the other hand, the fasting continues for the grigiorossi, who have not won in the league since last Dec. 7: they are 14th in the standings with 23 points.
A mistake of Audero’s own in the first few minutes affected the whole match: on 3′ the goalkeeper misplayed a central conclusion by Laurienté, on the rebound came before anyone else Fadera who did not forgive and immediately sent the neroverdi ahead. Cremonese tried to fight back, Vandeputte was denied a goal for an earlier foul by Bonazzoli on Muharemovic. Before halftime Zerbin was not accurate.

In the second half Grosso’s team came close to doubling the score with Moro, the Grigiorossi maintained the initiative but scored too little. Indeed, it was the hosts who came close again to an encore on a free kick with Laurienté, Audero said no.
In the final game, the Emilians resisted Cremonese’s last assault, and hit a crossbar at 94′ with Pierini.
