Napoli came out of the match against Juventus on Sunday with broken bones: the Bianconeri won 3-0 thanks to goals by Jonathan David, Kenan Yildiz and Filip Kostic. Many Parthenopean fans pointed out how the large number of absences greatly affected the match’s performance, and in the post-match even Antonio Conte spoke on the subject: “We know that we are sailing in the open sea with very high waves, but from the ship we are not getting off. We are struggling with all our strength against an unlikely situation”.

Fabrizio Biasin, a well-known journalist of the Nerazzurri faith with a large following on social media, did not miss an opportunity to pinch Antonio Conte and on his X profile he wrote: “Conte talks about the difficulties of a really very clogged calendar, the market, the new ones he has yet to get to know, the absences of his Napoli team that are many and affect a lot. Conte talks about everything except his management, about that he never talks”. As easily predictable, Biasin’s message sparked great controversy in the comments section.

Thousands of Napoli fans defended their leader: “Conte speaks the truth, I would like to see your Inter team without 6/7 elements of the squad” wrote Lorenzo, followed by Gennaro’s comment: “Without Lautaro, Thuram, Barella, Dimarco and Bisseck where do you think your team would be? It has nothing to do with Conte&#8217s management, it has to do with injuries”. At minute 70 of the match against Juventus, Antonio Conte decided to throw Giovane, a striker bought from Napoli only a few hours earlier, into the fray.

“For the first time in my career I had a player play who I have never seen, which is Giovane and who arrived the other day in training camp: he is a snapshot of the moment we are living. There are times when you can get over the hurdle and other times when you can&#8217t but I can say little to the boys” he said after the challenge with the Bianconeri.

They are the ones who can get over the hurdle.

Also causing discussion is the incident involving Rasmus Hojlund and Gleison Bremer: on the 1-0 scoreline for Juventus, the Brazilian defender landed the Danish striker in the Bianconeri penalty area. The episode infuriated many Parthenopean fans including Enrico Varriale: “To beat Napoli on the lowest terms due to injuries and fatigue of the usual ones forced to play all the time, Juventus needs a scandalous refereeing decision that denies the penalty of the possible equalizer”.
