“The steering committee has decided that the Monza Power Run will stop in 2025. The adventure, therefore, ends here”. It had been talked about for weeks and the officialization has come. “I write this with regret, because it could not be otherwise. But I do it also with the serenity of those who, for twelve years, have put heart and soul into each edition, always trying to improve what has become a unique, special event, recognizable by all” stressed Lorenzo Galli, creator of the event and always at the head of it.

“It is with an immense esteem that I would like to thank all of you who have shared this journey– he added -. A special thanks goes to Alessandro ViganĂ² and Diego Gavioli for the thousands of hours donated: three, sometimes four evenings a week, for months … for years; you have been irreplaceable, inexhaustible, always present travel companions. Then I thank all the volunteers who have built obstacles and structures, devoting dozens, indeed hundreds of days between Saturdays and Sundays. People who reinvented themselves as electricians, plumbers, carpenters; who learned to paint, upholster, work ropes, plastic and concrete: you turned toil into enthusiasm, and the impossible into reality. Sincere thanks to the surveyor to the engineer, to the commander of the Local Police and to the municipal technicians, who never backed down even in the face of the strangest requests, always looking for ways to reconcile imagination and regulations. Thanks to the entire group of volunteers who, in the weeks leading up to the event, gave everything they could until late into the night to ensure the success of the event”.

And again… “And heartfelt thanks to the associations that enthusiastically accompanied us: the Alpini with their headquarters, the Red Cross with an extraordinary deployment of forces, Civil Defense, Pro Loco, CAI, Real Villasanta, Social Tme, Silvia Tremolada’s kids, the CAA photographers who captured the best moments; the parishes that opened their oratories to us, the Colosio family always willing to make obstacles on the farm, the Autodrome that allowed us to give unique emotions to the participants who arrived even from abroad; the administration of the Royal Park and the municipal administrations of Villasanta and Monza that have succeeded each other over the years; the sponsors and suppliers, who supported us in every way. Finally, special thanks to our president, Roberto, who has always guaranteed us autonomy in decisions and actions, assuming the burden of responsibility. I apologize if I should have forgotten anyone: to all of you, really, goes a special thank you”.

“We have achieved goals that seemed impossible. We have shown what true solidarity means, not window dressing, by raising hundreds of thousands to support the fight against leukemia. We have done a lot, a lot of hard work … but always with a contagious smile, always having fun, always together. We have left a mark in the history of Villasanta” Galli’s conclusion.
