Sconcerting episode at the Zini stadium during Cremonese-Inter. A firecracker was thrown from the corner reserved for the Nerazzurri fans onto the pitch; exploded in the immediate vicinity of the area manned by grigiorosso goalkeeper Emil Audero.
The’extreme defender ended up on the ground knocked unconscious, then signaled that he was having some trouble from an ear while panic grew among the Nerazzurri fans at home and at the stadium as fears grew that he would ask for a substitution, with the real risk of an appeal and a forfeit.
Lautaro Martinez immediately went to ask Beneamata fans to calm down while Audero, who played for Inter in the 2023-24 season and is now owned by Como, reassured everyone and so the match resumed.
