Marino Magrin promotes Marco Palestra: "From National Team, good at'Atalanta"

Marino Magrin was an excellent midfielder. Born in 1959, he wore, for six seasons, the Atalanta shirt (from 1981 to 1987), before moving to Juventus and, later, to Hellas Verona. Exclusively for Sportal.it, he spoke about the Dea moment and many hot topics, including Marco Palestra, now at Cagliari but owned by Atalanta.
Marino, what do you think of the’Atalanta of Palladino?
“So, I have to say that I feel sorry for Juric. He missed important players and, therefore, did not get those points he needed. With the new coach, I see an’Atalanta that plays with a smile. When you play with a smile, it’s a whole different thing. I hope we can do well in this second half of the season”.
The winter market gave a major blow like Raspadori…
“Definitely a good acquisition. A player we know. He did very well in Naples. Roma also looked for him’and, therefore, I would say that Atalanta has made a good strike”.
Contemporaneously Lookman packed his bags and went to Spain, to Atletico Madrid’Atletico Madrid. Fair disposal?
“We have to congratulate Lookman for what he has given us over the years. You know, then things can change. The change of the coach, some internal problems at the beginning of the season. I would say we wish him the best for the new adventure”.
At Cagliari a certain Palestra, 20 years old, owned by Atalanta’Atalanta…
is shining.
“For me, Atalanta did well to bring him up in Cagliari. Here there’were already other solutions for the sides, like Zappacosta and Bellanova. He is doing really very well. Now, I don’t know if he will return to Atalanta or go to another big club, like Juventus for example, but he is certainly interesting for the national team. There are few Italians who play at a great level and with continuity. I think Gattuso could definitely consider him to play for Italy.”
