Inter market, the next reinforcement may come from Manchester City

Among the players most likely to leave Inter in June is Yann Sommer: the experienced Swiss goalkeeper is expiring his contract and the Nerazzurri are not willing to engage in negotiations for renewal. Despite the good responses received from Josep Martínez, Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio have been looking for Sommer’s replacement for some time, and it seems that in the last hours they have set their sights on Manchester City star James Trafford, who is very unhappy with the minute-long playing time Pep Guardiola is giving him.

The young English goalkeeper is closed by competition from Gianluigi Donnarumma and so far in the season has collected just 270 minutes in the Premier League, too few to convince him to stay in Manchester. Already in the winter soccer session there was talk of his possible transfer (Aston Villa and Newcastle would have welcomed him with open arms) but Guardiola preferred to keep him in the team, in January, however, the separation is inevitable: the James Trafford entourage is already at work to find him a new team.

The English footballer&#8217s attorneys are looking for solutions in the Premier League but not only: Trafford has told his representatives not to rule out any possibility, the only stipulation is to find a team willing to grant him a starting role right away. Inter, in this sense, would have no problem and could continue to target Josep Martínez only as second choice. The salary issue is not a major obstacle: Trafford at Manchester City earns just over 3 million euros including bonuses.

In addition to the English champion, Inter is also carefully considering the Guglielmo Vicario hypothesis: the goalkeeper is unhappy with his experience at Tottenham and may decide to leave Spurs after this year full of difficulties. Despite a very good team, Tottenham is 15th in the Premier League.

Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are also closely following Elia Caprile, a great protagonist of the first part of the season with the Cagliari shirt. The goalkeeper seems to have found himself again after the uninspiring experience at Napoli and is churning out excellent performances with the island team. For Cagliari, Caprile is extremely important but Tommaso Giulini would find it very hard to give up a big offer.
