Michela Moioli won a splendid bronze medal in snowboard cross in Livigno, bringing Italy back to the Olympic podium in the specialty. After complicated days, also marked by a bad fall in training, l’Azzurra built her final with lucidity: a cautious start, excellent reading of the lines and a progressive comeback that brought her up to third place in the Medal Final. A result, this one, that allows her to regain her smile after the fear of the past few days.

Michela Moioli’s day was a continuous crescendo: first the qualification to the round of 16 with the sixth time, despite the aftermath of the fall, then quarters and semifinals managed with experience, until the race for the medals. Here the Bergamasque showed once again her ability to read the track: after a controlled start, she changed pace in the central part, climbing position after position up to the podium with a test of character and competitive maturity.
