Martín, who was evaluated by the MotoGP medical delegation on the day before the tests and declared fit to race, completed the two-day test in Thailand regularly, finishing in eighth position. For the Spanish rider, the main objective was to gradually rebuild confidence with the RS-GP, adopting an approach focused mainly on riding. Jorge now faces the first race weekend of the season with the goal of continuing to improve session after session and regain his competitiveness.

“I am very eager to start the season after last year’s complications due to injuries. Physically I feel much better and it was very good to be able to participate in the pre-season tests in Buriram to be able to prepare for the race as well as possible. We start the year with a lot of desire to do well: the bike has improved and so have I. So there are all the conditions to experience a great season” noted the Iberian.

From next year, Marco Bezzecchi will no longer share the box with the 2024 MotoGP world champion but with another Italian centaur: Pecco Bagnaia will move from Ducati’s red to Aprilia’s black starting in 2027. Taking the Piedmontese rider’s place in the Borgo Panigale factory team will be Pedro Acosta. With his new team, the two-time MotoGP world champion will sign a four-year contract, a true rarity in MotoGP.
