Camila Giorgi in an interview with Verissimo made revelations about her upcoming child and her return to the court. The former Macerata tennis player, who married Andreas Pasutti last February, is pregnant with a baby boy: “I am delighted, I wanted a mini Andreas. We haven&#8217t thought about the name yet. Now let”.

“Andreas is a coach, we were acquaintances, then we spent a few days together and the spark went off. I immediately knew that something important could be born. After three months, he proposed to me and I found out I was pregnant on my birthday” she told Camila.

The surprise former blue tennis player did not rule out a return to the court in the future: “I miss it, I would like to play some matches. Could I come back? Maybe, never say never. I would be willing to compete again, I&#8217ve never closed that door. I left because I was tired of the pressure. But now I say, why not?”.

It seems like a lifetime since Camila Giorgi was defeated and eliminated in the third round of the 2022 Australian Open.

The news about pregnancy and marriage had already leaked out in the weeks leading up to the television interview, when Camila Giorgi had chosen her Instagram profile – which has some 700 thousand followers – to share with fans the two most important moments in her private life. First she had responded with a simple “Yes, I am pregnant” to a question from a follower in the Instagram stories, with no attempt to maintain the secrecy that had characterized the last few months after retiring from the WTA circuit. Then, a few days later, she had also made official her marriage to Andreas Pasutti, celebrated in Buenos Aires, Argentina, accompanying the post with the words “From here to’eternity”.

In the same Instagram stories, Camila had also revealed her intention to give birth in Europe, possibly in Italy, confirming her connection to her roots despite a life divided between Milan and Buenos Aires.
