De Raffaele: "Brindisi is important but has gaps"

Reyer Venezia coach Walter De Raffaele is aware of the importance of the challenge with Enel Brindisi. “It’s a direct clash for the playoff race,” he warns, “It’s a game that must be approached with great defensive focus, trying to take away the fluidity of play that Brindisi has right now, putting a lot of attention on the individual characteristics of the players, and, above all, overcoming them in the energy put on the court, because it’s a game that must give us some momentum and that we want to try to win, beyond any problem, especially of a physical nature: not of condition, because the team, in the non-injured, is fine.”

“Brindisi is an important team, which has inserted Anosike in place of Kadji finding great balance, is back from three solid wins, so it looks like a very healthy team. It makes athleticism and running certainly one of its strengths, with many experienced and talented players, like Reynolds and Banks, who know the league and are doing very well. The reality is that, in one week, I haven’t even had a full practice. And the truth is that we have been living with this situation for too long. Brindisi, being a team that concedes, on average, eighty points, clearly has gaps and in these we must try to slip, although it is so important to find ourselves again as rhythm, fluidity and personal sensations that, the moment you get your things, you also have the lucidity to go and attack the weak points of the opponents,” adds Recalcati’s successor on the bench of the Laggunarians.
