Avellino: "Sassari wounded animal"

Sidigas Avellino is back in the gym with its head set on the championship after the electrifying adventure in the Italian Cup. On the eve of the difficult trip to Sassari, it was the turn of Pino Sacripanti’s assistants Massimiliano Oldoini and Gianluca De Gennaro in the press room to introduce the match.
“The three days of the Final Eight were very intense,” Oldoini said, “They left us with some small pains, but at the same time also with a lot of satisfaction. Now we have to reset everything. Against Sassari we will have to play a game without pressure, avoiding giving away balls that can trigger their counterattacks and trying to contest as many shots as possible. We need to have an important last part of the season to be able to enter the playoffs with the best possible position.”
“It’s been a tough week from a preparation standpoint. Right now, Sassari is the most difficult team to face, not only because they have quality depth and great offensive power, but also because they are a wounded animal after exiting in the first round of the Final Eight. They will put on the court all the anger they have inside, however, we will be ready as always from a technical-tactical point of view to try to bring home two important points,” De Gennaro added.
