Spalletti: "No drop in tension"

Luciano Spalletti returned to talk about the 1-1 draw with Bologna to the microphones of Roma Radio.

“After a game like Monday’s you can’t find much to say except to continue on this path. There were not the dips we feared, the players interpreted the match in the right way, then the details can go for or against and that can make the difference.”

Chapter Dzeko: “I preferred to leave him out in Sunday’s training, because at this point in the league players have to be managed. Dzeko wanted to train, but I made him do separate training. He had a small resentment that he carried the next day, then trying in the next session, his muscle hardened. He had an MRI that showed the problem and there was some risk in playing an hour game. I talked to him, without this problem in my lineup he would have been a starter. If the team needed him, I would have taken the risk of bringing him in as the game went on.”
