Parma, Maresca exonerated: club’s confirmation

Beppe Iachini is the number one favorite for the ducal bench.

Enzo Maresca is no longer the coach of Parma. Confirming this, after the rumors circulated following the home draw against Cosenza, is the ducal club itself, through a note released on Tuesday evening.

“Parma Calcio 1913 announces that it has relieved Enzo Maresca from the position of coach of the First Team,” the statement reads. “President Kyle Krause and the Crociata management wish to express the utmost gratitude to Enzo and his staff for the commitment and professionalism shown since the day of their arrival. To Maresca and his staff the best wishes for the continuation of their careers.”

The hunt is on, now, for a replacement: per ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport,’ the management has reportedly already contacted Beppe Iachini, who is back from his experience with Fiorentina that ended at the end of last season.
