Fabio Cannavaro reveals his 'no' to Fiorentina

The former defender could have ended up on the purple bench.
Reached by Corriere dello Sport, Fabio Cannavaro revealed, “For two years I had to say no to Fiorentina, which has quality players and a solid and ambitious ownership. When I received the proposals, the Evergrande managers did not let me leave. Italian is however an excellent choice, it excites me.”
The former defender then spoke about Juventus: “The downturn of the Bianconeri did not surprise me, I consider it inevitable, physiological. Let’s not forget that it lost the coach’s savior, Ronaldo. With him it always started one-nil. Juve has to deal with the wear and tear of the most important players and the lag of some young people who have encountered many difficulties. On the other hand, I did not expect Milan’s decline. Not right now at least.”
Who instead is travelling at full speed is Inter: “It is really complete, and I am pleased for Simone Inzaghi, too many mistrusts towards him, he has never been considered a coach of a great team and instead he has everything to succeed: he knows how to take players, he makes them feel good. Compared to last year they are freer to express themselves and it shows on the field.”
