F1, Ralf Schumacher: "Lewis Hamilton annoyed by George Russell"

Ralf Schumacher: “Russell is a totally different opponent than Bottas, he is bothering Hamilton.”

Former German driver Ralf Schumacher at Motorsport-Total.com explained the difficult relationship between the two Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.The former Williams driver has made a great start to the World Championship that has displaced the seven-time world champion, who is not yet comfortable fighting at the back of the field with the W13.

“Russell is a totally different opponent for Lewis than Bottas, and above all he is very consistent. He also puts people at ease and creates a positive atmosphere in the pit, just like Hamilton does. The team likes him, and he can manage the situation better from that point of view as well, and that bothers Lewis.”

In Miami however Russell was lucky to finish ahead of Hamilton: “The safety car was decisive, but still he was doing better than Lewis. Hamilton is still struggling with the car and has complained often.”
