Inter, Marotta sends a hint about Lukaku and closes the door on Lautaro
Marotta takes stock of Inter’s attack
Inter CEO Beppe Marotta, a guest at the microphones of Radio Rai, spoke about the Nerazzurri’s market situation, dwelling on the attack of the Milanese team.
“I can say that today will not be the day of Lukaku’s announcement. Myself, Ausilio and Baccin have a duty to build a competitive team while respecting the sustainability of our club. From here we weave together surveys and negotiations. We must have the ambition to try all teams, without being afraid of not reaching the goal. The Lukaku track is viable but there are difficulties and we will see how it will go,” explained the executive, without exaggerating with optimism for the Belgian giant’s return under the Madonnina.
Then Marotta unequivocally defined Toro’s role within Simone Inzaghi’s eleven: “Transfer risk? As it should be we have a business plan, we have to close the transfer campaign in the black but we want to maintain a strong and competitive team. We believe that Lautaro is an indispensable element for our goals.”
