Miguel Angel Lopez has not yet recovered from injury
Ten days before the start of the Tour de France 2022 (13.2-kilometer time trial in Copenhagen, capital of Denmark), news arrives from Astana Qazaqstan of a major forfeit, that of Miguel Angel Lopez.
Having fallen in the fourth stage of the Giro d’Italia forced by the consequences of the accident to a period of forced stop, Lopez has not yet been able to recover physically and has therefore decided to skip the 109th edition of the Grande Boucle.
His focus now shifts to the final stage of the season: in his sights are the Vuelta and the year-end classics.
