U.C. AlbinoLeffe announced that it has entrusted the technical leadership of the First Team for Season 2022/23 to coach Giuseppe Biava.

A former defender who grew up in the youth ranks of Leffe, he made his professional debut in the Albinese jersey. From 1998 to 2004 in AlbinoLeffe jersey (with a parenthesis at Biellese in the 2000/01 season), he was among the protagonists of the Favola Seriana contributing to the historic promotion of the Bergamo club to the Cadetteria. In his career he then wore the jerseys of Palermo, Genoa, Lazio and Atalanta, totaling 286 appearances in Serie A.

Leading the Primavera bluceleste since the 2017/18 season, last year he achieved promotion to Primavera 2, also winning the national title in the category.

The coach will be assisted by Raul Bertarelli in the role of assistant coach. Born in 1979 in Vimercate (MB), he has already walked the fields of Serie C on the staff of Cesare Albè’s Giana Erminio, a team he then led in the 2018/19 Season.
