Gianmarco Pozzecco begins to make some names.
The new coach is already looking ahead
Gianmarco Pozzecco is looking optimistically at the future of the national basketball team after the NBA draft: Paolo Banchero, the first pick, has promised to play with the Azzurra jersey, and Gabriele Procida and Matteo Spagnolo, chosen in the second round by Portland (later traded to Detroit) and Minnesota, respectively, also promise great things.
“I will definitely go to the U.S. to meet him and talk to him,” Pozzecco said when speaking with ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ about Banchero. “When? I don’t know yet, it depends on his schedule. I chose full time to be always available to the players, we will find the opportunity.”
Likewise, the ‘Poz’ promised to find an opportunity to “also follow Spagnolo and Procida, and all the other Azzurri who play abroad.”
